Unconventional Gas: Coalbed Methane

Joe Frantz, President and CEO said, “The article link below is a comprehensive discussion of coalbed methane (CBM) reservoir understanding and development. CBM reservoirs have been exploited in the USA since the late 1980’s, internationally since the mid-1990’s, and in Canada since 2000. The cleat system in coals provides the primary conduit for gas and water production. However, the cleat system and other coal properties can vary substantially from well to well, making it difficult to predict the performance from any specific well. Fortunately, with a reasonable number of wells, the overall field production trend can be quantified statistically to help guide full field development. Similar to all unconventional reservoirs, it is important to use the appropriate level of technology to maximize economic returns.

Using our knowledge of CBM data analysis and field development procedures, Unbridled Energy will purchase and joint venture on CBM resource plays in pursuit of maximizing shareholder value.
